Conference Programme
Getting the hang of low-carbon prosperity
Operiong Keynote
Jonathon Porritt, Co-Founder of Forum for the Future
“Essentially, the over-arching theme that I want to address at the Property Forum is the way in which we are gradually coming to terms with what it means to create wealth through a low-carbon economy. It’s taken a whole lot of exhortation, target-setting, incentives and so on. But we’re slowly building up momentum on both technologies innovation and on up-skilling the sector in order to meet some of these ambitions.

I think we now know in the field of the built environment that this is as much about the process side – finance, mindsets, skills, leadership, partnerships, and so on – as it is about products and construction techniques. But we can all now have a reasonable expectation that this whole agenda will be accelerated very fast indeed over the next few years.”
